Guest neil_wiles Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 The Granada Dorchester is in the style of a funreal car but it is the white "wedding" variety. With blue leather interior. Just in need of some TLC and will be ready for Baby sis wedding in ten days. Quote

I assume you measure the length of ownership in WEEKS rather than YEARS :D JEX 248 V 1979 Mk2 Transit Gentian Blue 1981-1994 ( killed by iron worm )A nnn aaa 1981 Mk3 Escort Red 1994 - 1997 ( engine died )G 990 NAH 1991 Mk4 Escort Red 1997 - 2000 ( viciously murdered by an expensive motor bike )Private Plate 1997 Galaxy 2.0 GLX Mistral Blue 2004 - present Also had 3 different Escort vans when I worked for BT. J 406 VOPM 270 OOXS 634 TDA ( i think the reg is right... only had that for 8 months) Other vehicles I have owned.... 1961 Mini 8501972 Daf 551974 Renault 16TS1981 Nissan Cherry1990 Peugeot 309 Look1991 Peugeot 309 GLD1997 Hyundai Lantra So in total I have only owned 11 vehicles in 30 years and that is only because we have had 2 cars since 1995 The Mini and the DAF were fun to drive, Renault suffered engine failure, Nissan froze solid one winter and popped all the core plugs. Both the Pugs were reliable workhorses but not very comfortable. Lantra suffers from condensation when using aircon.... windscreen gets so cold the OUTSIDE steams up!!! Galaxy is by far the best car I have ever owned and second place in my heart goes to the Transit. did a lot of miles in 13 years :D Quote

Well it passed and it got insured and taxed today so I could take my baby sister to her wedding. Now I am gonna be on less Ford in my collection cos its on Ebay, have a look itll be the only one on there. So thats one less that I will have very soon. neiluk Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 My current Galaxy is my first 'Ford' but when I were a lad my Father had a Mk1 Cortina saloon (I remember lying face down on the back seat of the car with my arms over my ears when my father used to get it close to 65MPH, as the engine was making so much noise I thought it was going to explode!), then later a Mk5 Cortina 1.6GL saloon with a Hilman Avenger 1.2 saloon in between. I'm afraid the cars I have owned have been more Vauxhall orientated up to now with a Mk1 Astra 1.6 L hatch for about 1 month in 1987 after passing my test.Mk2 Cavalier 1.6 GL saloon from 1987 to 2000 . My fathers old car.Daewoo Nexia 1.5 GLXi saloon from 2000 to 2007. It cost me Quote

I am a BMW man to the core. Not that I have anything against any other cars, It's just I bought my first beemer about 7 years ago and I have spent less on keeping the 3 I've had than the Quote
